The Michigan Theater is an art house movie palace (a.k.a, theater) based in Ann Arbor Michigan. In addition to  film and
live events, the theater's programming staff curate film series which run from one to several months. These series
aim to celebrate independent, cult and classic movies and the auteurs who produce them. This
was one of the
film series I had the pleasure of helping brand and promote.

Mailer projects at the Michigan and State theaters typically consist of a folded, letter sized mailer and a series trailer. The concept showcased below
would need to be used consistently across mediums from newspaper ads, to monthly updates in newsletters, or onscreen materials.

I pulled from some the most iconic visuals of the films we would be showing in the retrospective.
Working with small details is something I like doing, because it lets a viewer take a few double-takes at a visual
and hopefully discover something a little bit new. This was a great poster to experiment with that on.
